What is a Spiritual Bouquet?

Spiritual bouquets are prayers or devotional acts that a person or group (the “giver'”) offers for another person or group (the “recipient”). Often, spiritual bouquets are given in commemoration of a special occasion or to express joy, sorrow, or best wishes.

Within a spiritual bouquet, each prayer is like a flower, and the entire group of prayers is like a bouquet offered mystically as a gift to God for a particular intention.

Those who participate in a spiritual bouquet promise to complete a certain amount of prayers and/or devotions for the intention. In the case of a paper spiritual bouquet, the list of prayers is compiled and given to the person(s) whose intentions are being remembered in prayer. In these online spiritual bouquets, the spiritual bouquet will remain on the blog for the person(s) to refer to, or they may print the “bouquet” gathered in the comments to save.
